For a typical herd, this is not a very useful answer because the herd may consist of a variety of cows by age and breed If a half a beef sounds like more meat than you need, we can also do hind quarters for $3.75 per pound and front quarters for $3.25 per pound. If you'd prefer more meat, we do whole cows for $3.50 per pound (same price as the half) On average a beef steer weighs about 525kg, but obviously not the entire cow makes it to the table.
